More about your photographer:

Jessica Judge is my name. My pronouns are They/them/theirs. I am a genderqueer(non-binary) Empowerment photographer, body image activist, cat parent, multi-faceted artist, DJ and performers. Overall- I like to think I'm a cool or at the very least, interesting person.

My journey is constantly evolving, and for that I am so grateful. Thankful for all of the amazing humans I have met along the way. My goal has remained mostly the same. To hold space for you while you explore yourself, your humanity. To empower you and your journey through your body image.

After 10 years of photographing everything from concerts, music & art festivals, corporate events, boudoir, portraiture, families, and weddings... All of these involve a level of connection, between those in attendance, those and their environment, those with their bodies, and of course folks with me.

I can't even tell you how many times I have heard: "You'll photoshop me skinny, right?" or "Don't make me look fat". Some folks won't even look at me or enjoy a nice memory with their loved ones for fear of the camera, they are so uncomfortable in their skin. There had to be a deeper purpose in my work.

Fast forward- NOW. I still do all of those other related sessions, but my priority lies in body liberation, feeling empowered. Body image and you. I want you to see the value in providing the gift of empowerment and expression to yourself. Your body is worth documenting. All of it. Every angle.

I'd like to note, that as a society-we have been so subtly trained to only do 'intimate' style sessions to gift and provide to our partners. Particularly catering to the "male gaze". (They should be so PRIVILEGED to indulge in our self-expression and vulnerabilities) Most of my client's do this for themselves.

My goal is to create an inclusive, cumulative space for all bodies and communities. This is something I am forever working on, we are all students of life, we can all learn something from each other.

honestly this shoot with Jessica Judge was the most comfortable I've ever felt in front of a camera. I was just so relaxed and fluid. Jess makes you feel so at ease. support a nonbinary creator & treat yourself to a shoot 🖤 they will bring out your favourite parts of yourself, it's so meaningful.

I did a thing last year. Quarantine really messed with my mental health and how I felt in my own body and skin. Jessica Judge took these incredible photos of me - I had such an amazing time getting pampered and ended up feeling so empowered and beautiful.
Do things for you. Sit in your own space, with your body and learn to love and accept yourself, no matter what stage your body is in. Change happens, we are constantly evolving and adapting and we shouldn’t always punish our bodies for that.

I’ve always been nervous to have my photo taken because I struggle with how I feel about my body, but, when working with Jessica, I never felt so empowered and beautiful. Not only do they make you love yourself, they have been able to create the most comforting atmosphere in home, outside, and over the computer! They’re someone I will continuously recommend to anyone who’s looking to have photos done, but feels uncertain about it. They created the most safe environment I’ve ever experienced!

I'm often a bit nervous when shooting, but Jessica helped me get some awesome shots on multiple occasions!! Super kind and fun to work with, definitely would recommend. The colour and composition in each photo was stunning and one of the shots is still, to date, one of my favourite cosplay shots I've ever received back from a photographer.
